Mouse genome - data download
The Sanger Institute made a major contribution to the reference genome sequence of the mouse: this sequence is undergoing the same improvement as the human genome. Importantly, the Institute is currently sequencing the genomes of 17 of the most-used strains of mouse in contemporary biology.
- Ensembl
- Access to the reference mouse genome sequence, other mouse genome sequences and to individual mouse chromosomes
- Genome Reference Consortium (GRC)
- Aims to ensure that the human, mouse and zebrafish reference assemblies are biologically relevant by closing gaps, fixing errors and representing complex variation
- Mouse genomes project
- The Mouse Genomes Project will sequence the genomes of 17 key mouse strains and will release the data for the wider scientific community
