British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (BSAC) Projects
Many of the isolates sequenced in this collaboration were contributed by the BSAC Resistance Surveillance Project, a long-term study initiated by the British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy to monitor antimicrobial susceptibility and resistance in the UK and Ireland. An extensive network of clinical laboratories began collecting bacterial isolates from lower respiratory tract infections in 1999 and from bacteraemia in 2001. Please see the BSAC Resistance Surveillance Project web site for full study protocols, tables of results, and availability of isolates.
In addition to acknowledging the sequencing centre (as described in the Data Sharing Policy), publications based on these data should acknowledge the BSAC Resistance Surveillance Project as the source of the isolates.

Data Use Statement
This sequencing centre plans on publishing the completed and annotated sequences in a peer-reviewed journal as soon as possible. Permission of the principal investigator should be obtained before publishing analyses of the sequence/open reading frames/genes on a chromosome or genome scale. See our data sharing policy.
