Jacqueline M. Valverde Villegas is investigating the immunogenetic factors by using cellular and genomic approaches to better understand the germline and somatic mutations relationship shaping the immune response in individuals with cancer predisposition and inflammatory diseases.

My major research of interest is to contribute to understanding and identifying host genetic and immunological factors, which contribute to developing various disorders in the long-term, such as cancer. For that, I am applying high-throughput technologies to analyse the immune response of individuals with cancer predisposition at different layers, such as spectral flow cytometry, olink approach, single-cell genome and transcriptome sequencing.
