Dr Fei Sang

Principal Bioinformatician

I’m currently working as a bioinformatician in the Human Genetics Informatics (HGI) team. My role involves both data analysis and data management.
  • My work focuses on developing and applying computational methods to analyse large-scale genomic data, particularly in the context of Variant Discovery,  Saturation Genome Editing, Alternative Splicing, Single Cell Sequencing, etc.
  • Another part of my role is developing and maintaining Nextflow pipelines to ensure analyses are reproducible, scalable, and portable across different computing environments. This involves integrating bioinformatics tools, optimising performance for high-throughput data, and automating complex workflows to support collaborative projects.
  • On the data management side, I help organise, curate, and standardise large datasets and metadata, making sure they are structured for long-term usability and accessible for downstream research.
