Dr Vicky Rowe

Laboratory Manager

Vicky is a Laboratory Manager in the Cellular Genetics Wet Lab Support Team, primarily supporting the Haniffa Faculty. 

Laboratory Manager

Vicky joined the WLST in January 2022 and is responsible for laboratory organisation, procurement; sample logistics and compliance; risk and COSHH assessments. She also provides wet-lab based support for experimental research within the Haniffa faculty.

Prior to joining the Wellcome Sanger Institute, Vicky completed a PhD in developmental neuroscience, focusing on the neurogenesis of cerebellar granule cell neurons. She then worked as a postdoctoral research fellow looking into the molecular mechanisms underlying cell fate switches during glia-to-neuron transdifferentiation events.
