This person is a member of Sanger Institute Alumni.

Gabriel left the Sanger Institute after a year and 9 months working in the screening team, performing CRISPR and drug screens on cancer cell lines. He went on to work at Cancer Research UK.

I was part of the screening team, investigating how cancer cells respond to a large number of genetic modifications and drugs in order to identifty targets for cancer therapy.

I worked as part of the screening team which uses large scale screening to assess drug sensitivity in a broad selection of cancer types. As part of my role I performed CRISPR knockout screens on cell lines as well as screening a large selection of drugs against cell lines and organoids. The aim is to generate cancer dependency maps which can be used by the wider scientific community to find therapeutic targets and genetic interactions across all cancer types.
