Shikha is an Advanced Research Assistant with the Open Targets Initiative

Shikha is currently aiding the development of a screening platform that will allow for the transcriptomic and phenotypic analysis of genes related to Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis in disease relevant cell types. Prior to joining the Sanger, Shikha worked in a collaboration between the Oxford Parkinson’s Disease Centre and Drug Discovery Institute, where she used gene editing techniques and phenotypic assays to validate targets identified via high-throughput compound screens.
