My research is focused on understanding pathogen evolution and adaptation through integrating microbiology, molecular biology, omics and bioinformatics.

I currently investigate the emergence of antimicrobial resistance and virulence in priority human pathogens such as Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. My work seeks to understand how horizontal gene transfer, and mutations, drive these processes, and how environmental factors infuence evolutionary trajectories.
