As a pangenome enthusiast, I use graph-based approaches to unravel and better understand genomic diversity across species and environments.

Research Interest

I am exploring the genomes of Anopheles mosquitoes -malaria vectors- with a particular interest in pangenomics, structural variation, transposable elements, and the mechanisms of adaptation and evolution in these species. I am especially interested in pangenome graphs and open science, contributing to the understanding of complex genetic variation.

Prior to joining the Lawniczak Group, I completed my PhD under the supervision of Michael Fontaine (MIVEGEC) and Anna-Sophie FISTON-LAVIER (ISEM), focusing on developing the first pangenome for Anopheles gambiae and Anopheles coluzzii using short-read sequencing data. I designed and implemented new methodologies to construct and analyse their pangenome, with the aim of uncovering patterns of genetic variation linked to local adaptation and speciation.
