This person is a member of Sanger Institute Alumni.
Currently my main project is to push forward single-cell RNA-sequencing methods to understand cell types and gene expression in Schistosome worms - parasites of importance to global health. I also work to maximise sequencing output from small, rare and unusual samples, and recently published a new tapeworm genome.
Commenced work as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Parasite Genomics at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute
Moved to University of Georgia, USA, to complete my PhD studes
Started my PhD at the Department of Biology and Biochemistry University of Bath, UK in molecular parasitology
Joined Syntaxin Ltd, UK as a Research Scientist investigating modified botulinum toxins as therapeutics
BSc in Neuroscience, Cardiff University, UK
