Nishadi De Silva worked as a senior software developer in the Pathogen Informatics group at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute. Her main responsibilities were to develop software tools to support the research in the Pathogen Variation programme and provide informatics help and training. Prior to joining the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute in 2009, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Southampton. She has a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Southampton.
