Human-parasite interactions in malaria

This person is a member of Sanger Institute Alumni.

I work in Julian Rayner’s group studying factors influencing the host specificity of different Plasmodium species. I am particularly interested in understanding erythrocyte invasion by Plasmodium parasites, and whether species-specific variation in key parasite and/or host genes influences the successful infection of different host species.
