Senior Bioinformatician

This person is a member of Sanger Institute Alumni.

I am analysing sequencing data and try to find deeper connections. For this purpose I develop smaller or larger programs, scripts. I am also run programs developed by others.

Using high throughput methods the amount of results can growth exponentially. The human brain is not capable to handle this kind of information, so using computers is essential. But computers are working differently than humans. Somehow we need to translate biological problems in the language of computers.

I started my carrier as a lab working biologist and later I changed to bioinformatics. I guess I can understand the problems of both part. In the Pre-Cancer group I help the other members of the group to find relevant answers to their question.
