Emma oversaw the development and delivery of the Sanger Institute's core scientific pipelines to produce high-quality data and resources and to ensure that they were be able to adapt to the constantly changing demands of new technologies. Core pipelines included Sequencing and Genome Analysis, Cellular Genetics and Phenotyping, Single Cell Sequencing, Research Support, Informatics, Mouse Production and Mouse Phenotyping.

I am a professional operational manager who promotes organisation change implementing business transformations and delivering project and programmes. The facilities combine a skilled workforce and leading edge technology, ensuring these are balanced and work in harmony together is a key part of the senior leadership teams role.”
