Project Manager

I am the Project Manager for the Aquatic Symbiosis Genomics Project, this project forms part of the Tree of Life Programme. I am responsible for managing the project so it delivers on time, to budget and fulfils the project objectives, whilst ensuring processes are optimised.

Aquatic Symbiosis Genomics Project Manager

I received a BSc in Bioinformatics, PGCE in Secondary Science and a PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Manchester, UK. After qualifying and working as a secondary school teacher, I moved into training and project management at the European Bioinformatics Institute. At the EBI, I developed the online training portal and project managed the training content development, launching a portal to train users on the EBI’s services and databases online. In 2013 I joined Cambridge University Press and held various roles, including Programme Manager, Operational Supervisor and Programme Team Lead.  In 2020 I joined the Wellcome Sanger Institute as the Aquatic Symbiosis Genomics Project Manager for the Tree of Life Genomics Programme.
