I provide scientific writing support for the Cellular Genetics programme, covering everything from grants to papers, public engagement to strategy. 

Heading

I joined Cellular Genetics in 2021 as a Scientific Writer, having previously worked for a publisher, The Company of Biologists, and its journal Development. Before then I was a bench scientist working on developmental genetics and cell biology.

I aim to help our scientists write and present in a clear and impactful way, and to support younger researchers in developing their writing capacity.

My timeline

• Joined Sanger Institute as Scientific Writer

• Joined Development as Online Editor and Community Manager

• Started postdoc, University of Cambridge: cell adhesion complexes

• Started PhD, University of Sussex: wing development in fruit flies
