Having joined the Translation team in 2024, I monitor, manage and report on the Translation team’s dynamic portfolio of work, including but not limited to patents, licences and industry research collaborations. Alongside this, I coordinate initiatives such as the Translation Fund, and support a range of team activities underpinning translation.
Previously, I held roles within Cellular Genomics, Human Genetics, Academic Programmes, and Logistics, as part of Sanger’s two-year Management Training Scheme. Responsibilities spanned financial reporting on research projects, sample management, process improvement initiatives and the founding of the Sanger Alumni network.
Before Sanger, I joined a Hong Kong based NGO supporting the academic development of Hong Kong secondary students from less privileged backgrounds. This included delivering a science camp and regular science engagement events within a school.
Across this period and alongside completing my BSc at Durham University, I also organised and completed two internships in both a leading European Intellectual Property Firm, and Durham’s Technology Transfer team.
