This person is a member of Sanger Institute Alumni.
Michael developed the Otter genome annotation tool used by the Havana team, and looks after the associated databases and analysis pipelines. He is a Perl expert with experience in SQL database interfaces, web servers and inter-process communications, together with version control and software testing. He has a strong preference for Modern Perl over obfuscated Perl.
