I am EDI Programme Manager, specialising in Athena SWAN and other national accreditation schemes. I contribute to the Equality in Science campus programme together with the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI).

My background is in physical sciences and I gained an MA in Metallurgy and Science of Materials from St Catherine’s College, University of Oxford. I also hold an MSc in Science Communication from Imperial College London. I have studied project management protocols such as PRINCE 2 and MBA modules with the Open University. I am trained in school governance, including safeguarding, data and have a special interest in SEND.

I worked for several years in large scale international facilities and in the Higher Education sector, including CERN, EMBL-EBI, the British Library and Canterbury Christ Church University. I previously chaired the EIROforum Working Group in Diversity and Inclusion and have experience leading international projects in the areas of diversity, computing, communications and digital cultural humanities .
