This person is a member of Sanger Institute Alumni.

After 3 and a half years I am leaving the Wellcome Sanger Institute. I am moving to the University of Exeter to work on the PARADIGM project.

Kartik was a postdoctoral fellow (Dec 2019 – May 2023) in the Martin group involved in the Deceiphering Developmental Disorders (DDD) project.

Kartik’s work focused on understanding the recessive contribution to the genetic architecture of developmental disorders, and recessive gene discovery.

My timeline

• Left the Sanger Institute

• Started as a postdoctoral fellow at the Sanger Institute

• Completed Ph.D. under the supervision of Allan McRae, Peter Visscher, and Naomi Wray at the University of Queensland

• Graduated from Imperial College London (M.Sc. Computational Methods in Ecology and Evolution)

• Graduated from Trinity College Dublin (B.A Theoretical Physics)
