Molly Carter

Project Coordinator

As the Project Coordinator for the Darwin Tree of Life (DToL) project and the Vertebrate Genome Project (VGP), I have a wide range of responsibilities such as: supporting sampling in the field, championing species through the Sanger genome engine, identifying priorities, and providing stakeholders with access to high quality genomic data.

I ensure DToL and the Sanger-branch of VGP meet their objectives, optimising processes where necessary, and making sure that both projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high quality.

As the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, I foster strong relationships with partners and colleagues, utilising clear, effective communication at the core of my delivery.

Being part of the Tree of Life Programme allows me to proactively support cutting-edge science, alongside enthusiastic, like-minded people who have a passion for the natural world. I am able to nurture an open, collaborative, and publicly-minded project, and it is a real delight to be part of the team.
