Dr Konstantinos Hatzikotoulas

Konstantinos is currently a postdoctoral fellow in Analytical Genomics of Complex Traits group. His principal role at the Sanger Institute is to carry out large scale association studies of complex diseases/traits.
I graduated with a degree in the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece (1999). I received my M.Sc. degree in Exercise Physiology from Inter University Graduate Program of the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2002. In 2008 I received my Ph.D. degree in Neuromuscular Control from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Since 2012, I am a postdoctoral fellow in Analytical Genomics of Complex Traits group of Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, led by Dr. Eleftheria Zeggini. My research interests are on underlying the genetic etiology of common diseases& with a particular focus on musculoskeletal phenotypes and isolated populations.
