I manage physical and electronic learning materials in the library with the aim to engage researchers, while supporting the discovery of resources and advocating open research.

As part of a two-person team in Ashburner Library, I support a broad sweep of tasks, processes, and projects. Most, if not all, can fall into the following categories:

• Advocating and assisting open access publishing;
• Engaging with researchers and staff across campus;
• Managing the library collection and resources;
• Discovering and accessing new learning materials;
• Maintaining the physical library space.
• Maintaining the archive.

I have special interests in:

• The effect of AI/LLMs in scholarly communications, especially in copyright and the Creative Commons licences;
• Open bibliometric metadata and infrastructure;
• Green Open Access, otherwise known as ‘self-archiving your manuscript in a repository’.
