System overview
This is an overview of how the image components are linked together.
More explanation
The names of the square boxes framed by double lines are the keywords for the builtin configuration of the external programs shown in brackets.
The big arrow labelled "further analysis" describes the data flow that is set up by the imtransfer script. This may copy the datafiles to FPC or some other database.
The oval boxes denote files. Most of them can be found in the gel directory, but <standardfile> can
be stored anywhere on the system. The shaded oval box of <gel>.sizes means that this file is
optional and will only be written of size information is present in the the standard
file.
