Current role:
I am a Project Manager in the Cellular Genetics program, primarily supporting the Vento-Tormo group with their research projects, as well as managing operational projects within the Cellular Genetics program.
Previous experience:
After graduating a couple of months into the pandemic in 2020, I started volunteering at the Lighthouse Lab in Milton Keynes where I got to work with researchers and students from across the country during lockdown.
Eager to get more operational experience, I joined Sanger’s Management Training Scheme in 2021 to undertake four rotations across the institute to gain a unique 360 view of Sanger. During this time, I had placements in Estates and Facilities, Sequencing Operations, Supply Chain and Cellular Genetics. During my time on the scheme, I also worked closely with the Technician Commitment initiative to organise events, share communications and gather feedback from staff.
