Currently I am the HR Partner for our Scientific Operations groups; working closely with the Director of Scientific Operations and her senior management team; I ensure that all strategic planning for the areas gives effective consideration to the impact on people, supporting large change management projects as well as other Institute-wide initiatives.
Substantively I am the HR Partner for our Research Groups, my work involves providing support for our research programmes with regard to all people-related changes, issues and opportunitites.
I have worked in HR for around eleven years, and enjoy the variety that the role brings. I am really passionate about HR being a collaborative and enabling partner to the organisation.
My role involves working with our faculty teams and also working closely with colleagues in the Director's Office and our Legal, Grants and Finance teams.
Working with our Scientists is incredibly rewarding, and it is key that our support functions provide exemplorary services to help them focus on their research, and recruit, retain and develop the best people to deliver world-class science. I believe that communication is an essential part of what I do, and take a 'solutions-focused' approach to partnering our managers.
