Emma Millican | Director of Scientific Operations

Emma oversees the development and delivery of our core scientific pipelines to produce high-quality data and resources and ensure that they are be able to adapt to the constantly changing demands of new technologies. Core pipelines include Sequencing and Genome Analysis, Cellular Genetics and Phenotyping, Single Cell Sequencing, Research Support, Informatics, Mouse Production and Mouse Phenotyping.

I am constantly looking for ways to innovate the scientific operational facilities and pipelines at the Institute to best align with the scientific goals of the programmes. I am a professional operational manager who promotes organisation change implementing business transformations and delivering project and programmes. The facilities combine a skilled workforce and leading edge technology, ensuring these are balanced and work in harmony together is a key part of the senior leadership teams role.
