Homozygous Lethality - How Is This Calculated?

For each allele in the colony, all the genotyped mice from het x het matings are considered. If there are at least 28 mice, the proportion of homozygous mice is calculated.

  • >13% Homozygous = Viable
  • >0% and ≤13% = Subviable
  • 0% = Lethal
