The S. pombe genome is now in 7 sequence contigs, which have been contiguated into 3 'virtual chromosomes' with 100N gaps. The position of each contig (and the estimated gap sizes) are shown in the table below. The contigs for the left and right arms do not yet extend into the telomeres.
