The updated genome sequence has been re-submitted to the public databases but is also available here. You can also view the updated annotation of M. tuberculosis genome sequence using TubercuList at the Institut Pasteur, Paris.

The Sanger Institute sequenced M. tuberculosis using cosmids and BAC clones supplied by Dr. Stewart Cole and his colleagues at the Institut Pasteur Unite de Genetique Moleculaire Bacterienne. See references:
