Mouse Genome
Mouse Fingerprint Contig Map 2002

This page hosts the version of the mouse Fingerprint Contig (FPC) Map and view of human/mouse synteny described in the paper below.

A physical map of the mouse genome.

FPC map

The data displayed is static and will not change as the FPC map is refined. Rather it is an archive representation of the data at the time of publication. The FPC map was previous displayed in Ensembl prior to the availability of sequence covering the majority of the genome. Since then Ensembl displays have switched to being sequence based, with the FPC data mapped onto it and visible via the cytoview interface. Both the sequence and the FPC map are being continuously refined as the mouse genome is finished.

Human/Mouse synteny view

A graphical view of the map derived synteny between the mouse and human genomes (paper figure 5) is shown. A tabular version of the data is also available here.

This data is now archived can now be downloaded as an achive bundle here

As for the FPC map, the data is similarly static and archival in nature and will not be updated. A live sequence based synteny map is again available from Ensembl.
