The Zebrafish Mutation Project
The Zebrafish Mutation Project strives to provide a large number of mutant zebrafish lines. It started off as part of the ZF-Models project.

The Zebrafish Models for Human Development and Disease (ZF-MODELS) project is an Integrated Project funded by the European Commission as part of its 6th Framework Programme. It produces knowledge and technology in the form of disease models, drug targets and insight into pathways of gene regulation applicable to human development and disease. It achieved these aims by combining the advantages of the zebrafish in developmental biology with recent advances in functional genomics and with the zebrafish genome sequence to harvest large data sets on gene functions. Details about the work packages involved can be found here.
The Sanger Institute was taking part in this project and was responsible for mapping the generated data to the zebrafish genome assemblies and making the data accessible and searchable to the users. This has been achieved by integrating the relevant data into Ensembl.
