Zebrafish DAS sources
The available DAS sources for the latest assembly in Danio rerio Ensembl are listed below. The links provide a simple one-click access to attach the DAS tracks to the Ensembl browser. In order to customise the appearance of the features, e.g. colour or grouping, follow the 'DAS sources' menu in the ContigView/GeneView pages.
ZF-MODELS project
The ZF-MODELS (Zebrafish Models for Human Development and Disease) is an Integrated Project funded by the European Commission as part of its 6th Framework Programme. The following DAS sources can be attached to Ensembl to display the resources for the zebrafish community that are under development in the project:
add source for microarray oligos mapped to Zv7. This will take you to an example page (Ensembl chr 14:36095848-36145848) from which you can continue browsing
add source for TILLING mutations mapped to Zv7. This will take you to an example page (Ensembl chr 1:44090205-44097540) from which you can continue browsing
add source for insertions from the enhancer-detection screening mapped to Zv7. This will take you to an example page (Ensembl chr 9:27293583-27313661) from which you can continue browsing
add source for the ZF_mu myoblast EST library, cloned by Sarah Baxendale at the University of Sheffield, mapped to Zv7. This will take you to an example page (Ensembl chr 30914558-30914877) from which you can continue browsing
SNPs/indels
SNPs and indels were predicted for Zv5 using the software package ssahaSNP ( JC Mullikin et al - unpublished). The available whole genome shotgun reads were aligned to the reference sequence (Zv5) and used as evidence for SNP/indel calling. Every mapped feature has an associated report with a list of links to the trace repository for the reads used as evidence and the coordinates and flanking sequence in Zv5.
add source for SNP features mapped to Zv5. This will take you to an example page (Ensembl chr 1:50000-150000) from which you can continue browsing
