The Sanger Institute carried out a pilot sequencing project on the Candida albicans strain 1161 genome in collaboration with Prof. Duncan Shaw at the University of Aberdeen. A set of 10 cosmids was sequenced for this pilot project. The project was funded by Beowulf Genomics.
