Dr Ashutosh Trehan
Ashutosh works as a postdoctoral researcher and enjoys developing new molecular biology tools.
He is currently working on establishing novel CRISPR screening tools. He is also passionate about translation of fundamental research to benefit society and is currently chairing an entrepreneurship society called Entrepreneurial postdocs of Cambridge (EPOC).
He was previously a postdoc at MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Patrycja Kozik’s lab, where he did CRISPR screens in dendritic cells to find the key players involved in the process of cross-presentation. He completed his PhD at University of Turku, Finland, where he developed two new assays, called REPLACR-mutagenesis and CANDLES for site-directed mutatgenesis and measuring cyclic AMP kinetics in the cells, respectively.
