Production Software Developer Team Leader
Rich managers a team of software professionals focused on delivering Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS). The domains challenge is in designing software which does not have a disproportionate burden of data entry for laboratory teams yet provides cohesive data for management reports and downstream analysis pipelines. Rich is an active advocate of agile project frameworks.
The informatics team supports core pipeline operations in DNA/RNA sequencing, genotyping, clinical sequencing & cellular generation. Rich remains an advocate or teaching and training through the Open University for teams members he work with. Rich is studying towards MSc in technology management and currently interested in applying system tools thinking including Viable System Model (VSM), Soft System Methodology (SSM) and Critical System Heuristics (CSH).
