Dr Ruby Banerjee
Senior Research Assistant
Currently I work in the Molecular Cytogenetics Core Facility popularly known as the 'FISH group' in the Institute.
After obtaining my PhD titled ‘Synaptonemal Complex studies in Higher Plants’ (School of Biological Sciences, University of Birmingham, 1996) I joined the Mammalian Genetics Unit, Medical research Council, Harwell, Oxfordshire the same year. Here, I specialised in mouse cytogenetics till 2001(Oct). Since 2001 (Nov.) I had been based at the Sanger Institute and my molecular cytogenetic work encompasses human, mouse, zebrafish and other species as outlined in some of my selected publications.
